HSC Professional at Keats College

The new HSC professional curriculum has as objective to bridge the gap between the working environment and the secondary school environment. Keats College is among the 12 colleges in Mauritius which is offering this new syllabus as a pilot project for a period of two years starting in January 2015. To explain to our form 5 students the details of this new Cambridge Technical subject, we had the honour to welcome Professor Lucien Finette, the director of MES and two research officers namely Dr.Fokira-Wahedally and Mrs. Mottah. The challenges that this new syllabus are bringing about are the cambridge technical in ICT, the global perspective and the work placement during the holidays. The students will not have an examination after two years, instead portfolio-based assessments will be given after completion of each of the 6 units.

This new combination of subjects at HSC level seems to be very promising for our youngsters, so best of luck dear form 5 students for your choice of subjects for the academic year 2015!
